Community Health Nursing Programmme of the Batch 2018/19 students in Department of Nursing

The students of the batch 2018/2019 in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya successfully completed their community health training programme at the Regional Health Training Center (RHTC) in Kadugannwa from 2nd of May to 11th of May 2023.

This placement provides the opportunity for nursing undergraduates to interact at individual and household levels to promote the health of a community. During this programme, students attended different clinics in the community and completed a family study assigned to each student. They conducted a health education programme for adults on “How to maintain a healthy life” at Madarangoda, Healthy Life Clinic in Kadugannawa. Dr.Anura Rajapaksha , Director of the RHTC, Kadugannawa , Mrs. Nilmini Ekanayake, Special Grade Nursing Tutor, RHTC, Kadugannawa and Staff members of the Yatinuwara Medical Officer of Health office, extended their fullest support to conduct the programme successfully.
