The traditional Nursing Pledge Ceremony organized by the Department of Nursing for its 15th batch of undergraduate students was held on 19th May 2023, at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya. The event was graced by the presence of, Professor Terrance Madujith the Deputy Vice Chancellor, and invited dignitaries from around the University of Peradeniya, clinical staff of Teaching Hospitals where the undergraduates receive their clinical training and the dearest parents.

In recognition of the growing global concern surrounding hypertension, a blood pressure screening programme was conducted by students of the Society of Undergraduate Nursing Students (SOUNS) on 17th of May 2023 at the entrance of the administrative building in Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya.
