The Annual Faculty Research Symposium and Awards 2023- AFReSA 2023

The Annual Faculty Research Symposium and Awards Ceremony 2023 organized by the Faculty Research Committee of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences; University of Peradeniya was held on 14th March 2024. The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. W.M.T. Madhujith graced the occasion with his informational and encouraging speech. The keynote speech titled, was delivered by Prof. Prof. S.A.M. Kularatne, Senior Professor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. M.D.M.L.D.K. addressed the gathering. The Chairperson of the Faculty Research Committee, Prof. H.D.W.T. Damayanthi delivered the welcome speech. The event provided an opportunity to the undergraduates, postgraduates, and grantees of University Research Grant of the Faculty to present their research work. The event also included a 3-minute thesis presentation competition. There were 19 Oral abstract presentations. The Faculty Research Awards, an annual award for academics for research publications was bestowed to the awardees of the Faculty during the awarding Ceremony.

The event was a great success and the Faculty will have such events periodically to nurture research culture.
