Introduction to iPUNRSE– 2022

The Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, is pleased to declare the “Peradeniya University International Nursing Research Sessions (iPUNRSE) - 2022” on 26th and 27th May 2022 via virtual mode. iPUNRSE will provide an excellent platform for academics, nursing professionals, researchers, students and industry representatives throughout the country to share, report on and discuss the research innovations, advances and scientific achievements within the scope of nursing practice and academia. The organizing committee is gearing up for an exciting and informative conference program including plenary lectures, workshops and scientific sessions (Oral and Poster Presentations) for participants from all over the world in which the new information and exciting innovations of the nursing field and healthcare will be exchanged. In breadth, the iPUNRSE 2022 will provide an opportunity for networking with different health care personnel throughout the country and overseas.

Aims and Objectives of the Conference

Nurses play a vital role in the health care team. Thus it fortifies with scientific skills along with a strong background in the social sciences and humanities. The integral role of nurses makes a significant contribution to protect and promote health and wellness, prevention of injury and illness and restore health. Despite the advances in medicine, a major challenge for current nursing practice and nursing education is to address better and equal health care for all in the country. The iPUNRSE 2022 aims to,
