Medical Imaging Center

The Department of Radiography / Radiotherapy consists of an X-Ray unit which includes a general X-ray machine and a mammography machine with a newly installed Computed Radiography (CR) system which facilitates digital image processing. This unit aids the students to gain practical exposure related to radiography positioning techniques and image processing prior to their hospital-based training. The X-ray unit is now opened to the general public as well. Here a professional service is provided by SLMC (Sri Lanka Medical Council) registered radiographers where high-quality images are obtained while maintaining optimum patient safety and care.
