Travel grant - 2016
Mr. WM Kasun M Bandara, PhD candidate involves in the research activities of the Department of Medical Laboratory science awarded a Travel Grant from the International Association of Oral Pathologists (IAOP) to present the research work at the 18th International Congress of Oral Pathology and Medicine held in Chennai, India from 11th September 2016. This Interdisciplinary Research Programme collaborates with the “Centre for Research in Oral Cancer”, Department of Oral Pathology Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya and Oral Cancer Research Institute, Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. The academics of the MLS department Dr. Lalani Yatawara, Dr. ThushariHerath, Dr. Dilrukshi Jayawardana are collaborators of this research project while Dr. Rasika Illeperuma and Prof. W.M Tilakaratne jointly supervise it. This research is funded by the University Research Grant obtained by Dr. Rasika Illeperuma.
