Ceremonial opening of the renovated colonial building of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences

• The ceremonial opening of the newly renovated Colonial Building of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was held on 14 th November 2018. The Dean of the faculty, accompanied by the Heads and the staff of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences graced this simple occasion. Colonial type main building complex is an icon to the faculty which is over 100 years old and four departments; Department of Nursing, Department of Basic Science, Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Department of Physiotherapy utilize this building complex. Renovations were carried out in the Department of Nursing, Laboratory of the Department of MLS and old dean’s office was converted to house Department of Basic Science. After the traditional house warming chanting of Pirith was done by the Venerable Bhikkus of the university temple.
