Lamp lighting ceremony of 2012/2013 batch
- The 07th Lamp Lighting Ceremony of the Department of Nursing in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was held on 12th of October, 2015 at the Main Lecture Hall of the Faculty.A Lamp lighting ceremony is conducted as a symbolic and ceremonial event marking the student nurses' entry to the noble profession of nursing. The Nursing students of batch 2012/2013 were offered with caps and three wicks Lamps followed by oath taking which marked the entry into the profession of Nursing. The Vice Chancellor,Professor U.B.Dissanayake and the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, Chief guest Ms. Dilmi Aluwihare Samaranayake, former head of the Department of Health Sciences, the Open University of Sri Lanka, and Deans of other faculties participated in this event as guest invitees.
