Education exhibition and workshop at Killinochchi

  • The Security Forces in Kilinochchi organized an education exhibition together with award of scholarships for school children in the District. This Exhibition was held on 28th and 29th June 2013 at Kilinochchi Maha Vidyalaya. Altogether 121 schools in Kilinochchi district, leading schools including Royal College/ Colombo, Richmond College/ Galle, Kingswood College/ Kandy and reputed Government Universities including University of Peradeniya, University of Jaffna, University of Moratuwa, and Rajarata University took part in this exhibition. Altogether 47 students from all five departments (Physiotherapy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiography, and Pharmacy) of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya took part in this exhibition. Each department had separate stalls and the students demonstrated their exhibits to the schoolchildren and general public to promote awareness on the importance and values of Allied Health Science profession in Sri Lanka.
