Free Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Screening and Mobile Laboratory Service
- Non-communicable Disease screening(NCD) programme for University employees organized by the "Welfare Association of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences" has successfully commenced at the Faculty premises today with the support of the Ministry of Health and the University Health Centre. Professor S. Hennayake, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the university participated as the Chief Guest for the ingratiation of the programme. Medical Laboratory Scientist attached to the Ministry of Health who graduated from the faculty, volunteered to give this service to their "Alma Mater". Nearly three hundred university employees and their family members were screened today. Undergraduates of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science took keen participation and helped to make the event success. This service continues till tomorrow (3 rd November)3.00 PM. Participation of university community to get this free service is highly encouraged.
