My research interest includes exploring the role of novel biomarkers in early detection of acute and chronic kidney injury, evaluating the impact of a ward-based clinical pharmacy service in resolution of drug-related problems, appropriateness of medications at discharge and quality use of medicines. Other key research areas include integrated approaches to improve appropriate use of antibiotics and promotion of antimicrobial stewardship program in Sri Lanka, exploring the clinical effect of solvents and alcohol in profenofos poisoning and quantifying gut toxicity in poisoning, snake envenomation and chronic NSAIDs use.
